Description
Introduction
This interactive and hands-on course empowers professionals to harness the full potential of large language models such as GPT-4 through expert prompt engineering. Participants will learn to design effective prompts using current reasoning methods, agentic approaches, and ethical guidelines—ensuring impactful and safe AI-assisted work.
Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
Design task-specific prompts using structured formats
Compare and apply advanced prompting strategies such as chain-of-thought, ReAct, and agentic methods
Evaluate and refine prompt quality using clear criteria
Apply ethical, policy-aware use of generative AI in professional settings
Programme
Hands-on Exercises and Peer Review: Practical workshops focused on creating prompts, followed by peer review to improve quality and relevance
Prompt Evaluation Metrics and Ethics: Criteria for assessing prompt quality and ethical considerations such as bias, transparency, and responsibility
Agentic Prompting and Tool-Assisted Workflows: Using AI as an autonomous agent with tools (browsers, code, APIs) for complex or automated tasks
Advanced Prompting Techniques and Reasoning Models: Advanced prompt-writing techniques using logical, step-by-step, or chain-of-thought reasoning models
Prompt Structures and Prompt Types: Analysis of effective prompt structures and different types: instructional, creative, exploratory, etc.
Generative AI Definitions and Policies (Green/Amber/Red Usage Categories): Introduction to generative AI and usage policies classified by green, amber, and red categories
Introduction to AI and Machine Learning: Overview of AI fundamentals, machine learning, their differences, current applications, and workplace impact
Methods
Short lectures, hands-on prompt writing labs, peer evaluation, scenario-based problem-solving, and group discussion on ethical issues.
Target audience
Legal professionals, compliance officers, consultants, project managers, communication leads, and other knowledge workers seeking to leverage generative AI responsibly and efficiently in their daily tasks.
