Frequently asked questions
Registrations
There are three ways to help you find the training course you’re looking for:
-
Our website includes a powerful search engine that enables you to look for training courses using one or more key-words. Click on ‘More results’ to refine and filter the results on the screen by selecting criteria such as language, types of course (daytime, evening, e-learning, course leading to certified training paths, etc), dates, price, etc.
-
Use the ‘Our training courses’ tab to consult our offer:
-
by training domain: select the one that interests you from the 19 domains on offer
-
by calendar:view our offer in chronological order
-
by type of training: are you looking for certified training paths, an individual training course, daytime or evening classes, or a course available as e learning?
-
-
The ‘Explore our training programmes button lists our training offer in four major categories (subdivided into training domains). In certain training domains (e.g. entrepreneurship, banking, etc), we have drawn up recommendations that may help guide your choice.
House of Training offers two types of training courses:
-
Individual courses: These courses, of varying length, meet ad-hoc training needs and can be followed ‘à la carte’. An exam may form an integral part of the course, or there may or may not be an optional exam.
-
Certified paths: These are structured sets of courses that follow a specific logic and chronology. Some routes comprise courses that may also be attended individually, outside the route leading to certification. Our training routes are generally offered in collaboration with a professional association and lead to the award of a certificate if the final exam is passed.
Individual registrations (by natural persons) for training courses at House of Training and payments must all be made on-line. Once you have chosen a course, just click on the ‘Register button and follow the procedure for registration and payment on-line. During the registration procedure, learners can choose which session they want to register for (if there are several dates) and in some cases decide on a certain number of other criteria (training course only, training course plus exam, exam only).
You must register at least five working days before the start of the course or exam session; registration is subject to a place being available.
A registration can be cancelled without incurring any cost in the following cases:
-
regardless of the reason, within fourteen calendar days of registration
-
regardless of the reason, at least ten calendar days before the course starts
-
for health reasons, and on production of a medical certificate, within five calendar days of ceasing to attend the course.
If the registration is cancelled less than ten calendar days before the start of the course, the full cost of registration will be invoiced.
All requests for cancellation must be sent to us by e-mail at customer@houseoftraining.lu.
The «Company» client can request, by e-mail and up to twenty-four hours before the start of the course, to defer the registration of a participant to another scheduled session as announced on our website. The replacement or deferral request has to be sent by e-mail at customer@houseoftraining.lu and has to indicate the contact details of the participant as well as the date of the training session to which the registration is deferred to. House of Training will invoice forty-five euros to cover administrative costs.
The « Private » Client can request, by e-mail at customer@houseoftraining.lu and up to twenty-four hours before the start of the course, to defer his registration to another scheduled session as announced on our website. The deferral request has to indicate the date of the training session to which the registration is deferred to. House of Training will invoice forty-five euros to cover administrative costs.
If no date is indicated for the training you want to register for, please click on the ‘Register / Have alert sent’ button. We will hold onto your contact details and let you know as soon as the training you want is scheduled, so that you can register as quickly as possible.
It depends on the course you have selected. In most cases, House of Training offers registration for courses and registration for exams separately. This makes it possible to register for a course without taking an exam or to register for an exam with the aim of having your knowledge attested without having attended the corresponding course. The possibilities available for your course are indicated in the pop-up menu that appears once you have clicked on the ‘Register’ button.
Certificates
At the end of the course, participants will be able to download their certificate of attendance issued by the House of Training by logging into their learner's portal on our website.
Exams
To ensure maximum flexibility, House of Training mainly offers separate registration for courses and registration for exams. This makes it possible to register for a course without taking an exam or to register for an exam with the aim of having your knowledge attested without having attended the corresponding course. If you want to register for an exam on its own, just click on the ‘Register’ button for the corresponding course and click on ‘Exam’ in the pop-up menu.
The conditions for cancelling an exam registration are the same as those for cancelling a course registration.
No, it is not possible for someone else to use your exam registration.
In order to avoid any form of misconduct, participants are not permitted to see a copy of their exam.
The conditions for deferring an exam are the same as those for deferring a course registration.
For courses that include an exam, the date of the exam is noted in the schedule you can download from our website.
For all other courses, for which the exam date can be chosen freely from the exam sessions available, please:
-
select the course for which you wish to sit the exam and click on the ‘Register’ button
-
in the pop-up menu, select the ‘Exam’ option
-
select an exam date from the dates offered
