Description

Description

In view of current fuel and energy prices, this training is an investment that quickly pays for itself. Thanks to the techniques acquired during the course, participants will see a tangible reduction in their fuel or energy consumption through practical driving exercises carried out before and after the theoretical session. Beyond reducing fuel or energy costs, smoother driving also helps minimise vehicle wear, reduce emissions and lower stress behind the wheel.

Objectives

By the end of the training course, participants will be able to:

  • drive economically and in an environmentally responsible manner
  • understand how their vehicle operates and the factors influencing fuel or energy consumption
  • adopt an anticipatory driving style that improves safety, reduces operating costs and lowers stress

This eco-driving and economical approach demonstrates how good driving habits improve fuel and energy efficiency while reducing wear on components such as brakes, tyres and the engine, without significantly increasing journey times.

Programme

This training course, which is offered exclusively in-house, comprises both theoretical and practical sessions

The course has a short practical drive using the vehicle that each participant normally drives in their daily work. Fuel or energy consumption is recorded to establish a baseline.

The theoretical session explains vehicle operation, eco-driving techniques, anticipatory driving principles and practical methods for reducing fuel or energy consumption, operating costs and environmental impact while maintaining a high level of safety. The specific characteristics of both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles are also covered.

The course concludes with a second practical drive using the same vehicle. Participants immediately apply what they have learned and experience a measurable reduction in fuel or energy consumption together with the benefits of smoother, less stressful driving.

Maximum group size: 5 participants, ensuring sufficient practical driving time for everyone.

Target audience

Anyone who regularly drives a company or private vehicle as part of their work, including cars, vans, trucks and buses.

Prerequisites
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle used
  • Regular use of a vehicle in the course of professional activities
  • Participants should attend the training with the vehicle they normally drive for work whenever possible

Pedagogical method

The training follows a practical, results-oriented approach, combining classroom instruction with on-road coaching. Participants compare their fuel or energy consumption before and after the training, allowing them to see the immediate benefits of the techniques learned and encouraging long-term behavioural change.

The course is available in English, French, German and Luxembourgish.
