Optimising Your Adaptability - Personal Resilience and the Science of Change
Personal DevelopmentDescription
Introduction
According to the World Economic Forum’s The Future of Jobs Report 2025, the skills that most clearly differentiate growing roles from declining ones are resilience, flexibility, and agility. These are seen as central to navigating uncertainty.
In a professional world where everything is accelerating, adapting is no longer a choice: it has become an essential skill to remain calm, progress, and thrive.
Yet change, even when we want it, remains a challenge. Over the past 30 years, the psychology of change has emerged as a major scientific field, bringing together researchers, psychologists, and behavioural experts. Their work shows that successful change does not depend solely on willpower or good intentions, but on a deep understanding of the levers that foster adaptability, resilience, antifragility, and personal growth.
As the final training in the programme “Optimising Your Potential – 5 Key Skills for Your Career”, this module operationalises your change mindset by transforming your learning into rebound strategies. It closes the loop by making adaptability your sustainable career advantage. This module offers a distinctly practical and scientific approach:
- Understanding why change is often difficult despite our intentions
- Identifying common obstacles (procrastination, inertia, fears, etc.) and learning how to overcome them
- Using the psychology of change to build genuine personal resilience
Throughout the training, you will discover how to turn uncertainty into opportunity, strengthen your agility in the face of change, and lay the foundations for sustainable adaptability—for yourself, your team, or your organisation.
