The Revolution in Business and Work Methods

This training is part of the AI Generative Toolbox - ChatGPT & Co. programme. This hands-on programme aims to increase the productivity of key business services (administrative support, legal, IT, marketing, finance, HR, project management, and customer support). It has been designed by passionate experts specialising in various fields, united by their expertise in Generative AI. The pool of trainers encompasses a wide range of skills, each bringing a unique perspective to maximise the impact of AI in your business.

The pedagogical scheme has been designed to provide participatory training during which participants practice and apply to their business cases.

Objectives

At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand and Review Key Concepts: Refresh their knowledge of project management fundamentals, including various methodologies and the responsibilities of a project manager
  • Integrate AI into Project Management: Understand the role and potential applications of artificial intelligence in project management, along with its challenges
  • Use AI Tools: Apply artificial intelligence tools in practical project management situations
  • Analyse Case Studies: Examine case studies to better understand the impact and application of AI in the project management domain
  • Develop Project Plans with AI: Design project plans incorporating the implementation of AI, considering all aspects from definition to post-implementation monitoring
  • Strengthen and Evaluate Acquired Knowledge: Present work, participate in debriefings, and engage in question-and-answer sessions to solidify and evaluate acquired knowledge

PART 1 – Review and Theory
  • Review

    • The company's scope: Business Model Canvas

    • Different types of projects (client, regulatory, IT, product, infrastructure, restructuring, quality, etc.)

    • Different project management methods (PMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)

    • Internal/external project documentation (PMO and company)

    • Project manager responsibilities (Scope, planning, resources, issues, risk, budget)

    • Availability vs productivity

    • Priority management

  • Theory

    • Introduction to AI: Understanding origins, opportunities, and risks

    • How AI can revolutionise Project Management functions?

    • Uses of AI: Optimising tasks, automating processes, having a personal assistant, anticipating risks, searching for solutions, assisting communication, becoming an augmented project manager

    • Tools of generative artificial intelligence and how to use them in project management

    • Project management considerations: AI vs human management, GDPR, and Intellectual Property

PART 2 - Application of AI in Work and Case Studies
  • Discovery of tools, the art of prompts, and revolutionary case studies

    • Tool setup and context definition

    • Initial definition of the project and success criteria

    • Choice of project management method to use

    • Stakeholders Relationship Model

    • Communication plan: automation in managing follow-up meetings

    • Automation vs profitability over the project duration

    • Definition and monitoring of the critical path

    • Planning: Verification of resource assumptions and adequate means to achieve the objective

    • Automated project planning based on identified links and dependencies

    • Identification of risks and strategies to adopt

    • Identification of solutions and alternatives to manage issues/constraints encountered

    • Define and anticipate management governance

    • Going further: Proposing a project management tool based on AI.

  • Interactive discussions and briefing on solo exercises (in compliance with GDPR): Presenting a project for the implementation of AI in one's company for a specific purpose.

    • Definition, measurements, analysis, and validation of the project

  • Explain which AI solution was used to prepare the project and the one installed as part of the project

  • Highlight the points for which AI was used to assist in the exercise

Prerequisites

Participants must bring their laptop.

Participants must have a ChatGPT Plus, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot (Android or iOS), Google Gemini, or open-source model account. The use of the free version could be limiting for some practical exercises.

Note

Please be aware that the versions of the AI tools used may not always be operational or accessible during training sessions. The facilitators will adapt accordingly.

The training material will be handed out at the beginning of the course.

Certificate

At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by the House of Training.
