Objectives
At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:
understand the basic concepts and rules of IFRS
apply the IFRS rules in practice
prepare a set of financial statements in accordance with IFRS

- IFRS Standards - presentation and application
- General information on IAS/IFRS, objectives, characteristics
- Presentation standards:
- Presentation of financial statements (IAS 1, 7, 8, 10, ...)
- Consolidation (IAS 27, 28, IFRS 3, IFRS 10)
- Recording, processing, and reporting business transactions and events in accordance with international financial reporting standards including:
- Non-financial assets: inventory, fixed assets, intangible assets. Recognition, measurements and derecognition as well as impairment, depreciation and amortisation techniques.
- Non-financial liabilities: basic understanding of leases (IFRS 16), provisions and contingent liabilities.
- Financial liabilities: basic understanding of loans (IFRS 9).
- Revenue, taxes, and the effects of changes in foreign exchange rates: IFRS 15, IAS 12 and IAS 21.
Target Audience
This training is for you if you are looking to have a general overview of IFRS, understand some of their most common concepts and be able to apply them in practice.
Prerequisites
No previous IFRS experience required. A solid accounting knowledge is a must.

Course Material
Please note that for environmental reasons no paper version of the training material will be provided for your training. The course material can be downloaded free of charge via your portal before the start of the course (download the Client Portal User’s Guide here). You will be able to view it on the screen of your mobile device or print it if necessary. If your registration has been made by a training manager of your company please contact him/her so that he/she can give you access to it or send it to you.
Certificate
At the end of the training, the participants will receive a certificate of attendance delivered by the House of Training.
