Introduction

Real Estate Investment Funds (REIFs) require careful legal and tax structuring to meet regulatory requirements, align with investor expectations, and ensure operational efficiency.

This course provides a foundational understanding of the key legal forms and tax considerations involved in structuring real estate investment products, with a focus on Luxembourg and European frameworks.

Participants will explore fund domiciliation, legal vehicles, regulatory regimes (including AIFMD), and tax-efficient structuring strategies.

Designed for professionals in fund management, legal, compliance, and administration roles, this course equips learners with the essential knowledge to go through the complexities of Real Estate Fund structuring.

Objectives

After completing this course, the learner will be able to understand the factors that drive the structuring and tax models of real estate investment products, will be introduced to key elements of Real Estate fund documentation and will review the regulatory approval process. Learners will apply principles learnt to each of an open-ended and closed-ended fund product.

The course material can be downloaded free of charge via your portal before the start of the course (download the Client Portal User’s Guide here). You will be able to view it on the screen of your mobile device or print it if necessary. Exam

For this course, an optional exam is available. Interested candidates may select a date from the list of scheduled exam sessions. Registration for the exam must be completed at least five days prior to the chosen exam date. Please note that a registration fee applies.

Certificate

At the end of the course, participants will be able to download a certificate of attendance via their client portal.
