  • Knowledge check: CRISP framework and LLM’s capabilities, limitations and safe use principles
  • Core Concepts: Chain of thought, self-critique, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, Reinforced Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) and autonomous and multimodal AI
  • Re-anchoring key concepts by building procurement-specific system prompts and skills with persistent context
  • Practical template library: RFQ generation, contract analysis, supplier research

Module 02: AI-Powered Market Intelligence & Strategic Sourcing

Duration: 75 minutes | 09:00 - 10:15

  • Classification of categories using internal spend data and supply-market signals (Kraljic matrix)
  • Supplier sourcing and initial qualification workflows
  • Market research methodology: formulating research questions, sequential search, synthesis

  • Automated clause extraction and classification across large contract portfolios
  • Extracting deliverables, SLAs and milestones from signed contracts into a structured obligation register

Exercise: Analysing sample contract to identify main risks and reviewing output through self-critique technique

Module 06: Supplier Risk & Performance Intelligence

Duration: 60 minutes | 14:00 - 15:00

  • Multi-dimensional supplier risk assessment: financial, geopolitical, ESG factors
  • Real-time monitoring approaches and early warning signal identification
  • Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) drafted by AI, reviewed by the buyer, and tracked to closure with automated reminders
  • Performance dashboarding and continuous improvement strategies

Module 08: Governance, Compliance & Avoiding Common Mistakes

Duration: 15 minutes | 16:15 - 16:30

  • Understanding your role as a "Deployer" under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689
  • Risk classification of procurement AI tools: Minimal, Limited, High and Unacceptable Risk
  • Key compliance obligations: transparency, human-in-the-loop, data integrity, explainability
  • Data-driven decisions: avoiding incomplete or outdated data foundations
  • Defining clear objectives: ensuring AI optimisation delivers measurable improvements

Group Discussion: Participants share real-world AI implementation challenges and co-develop mitigation strategies

Module 09: Preview on Higher Proficiency, Implementation Roadmap & Conclusion

Duration: 30 minutes | 16:30 - 17:00

  • API integration with procurement systems (ERP, P2P, CLM)
  • Multi-agent orchestration for complex workflows
  • Autonomous execution within defined guardrails
  • Near-autonomous procurement for routine categories
  • Implementation blueprint: Foundation → Expansion → Scale phases

Exercise: Each participant develops a personal 90-day AI adoption roadmap with 3 quick wins
